Incorporated in 1906, the City of Woodland, located 20 miles north of Vancouver, Washington, is the southern gateway to Mount St. Helens. The city is located within both Cowlitz and Clark Counties. This growing community, with a population of nearly 7,000, is located at the junction of Interstate 5 and State Highway 503. The greater Woodland area has a population of over 10,000 persons. The City of Woodland is located on the Columbia River at the junction of Interstate-5 and State Highway 503, 20 miles north of Vancouver, Washington, and is the southern gateway to Mt. St. Helens. The city straddles both Cowlitz and Clark Counties within the breathtaking Lewis River Valley. Woodland boasts a bustling port, easy access to Interstate 5, and a short 28-minute drive to Portland International Airport.

Along State Highway 503 you can find camping at one of many pristine lakes or winter sports at Marble Mountain Snow Park. Summit Mount St. Helens via Climber’s Bivouac or hike to June Lake, Lewis River Falls, or the Ape Caves. Visit the historic Cedar Creek Grist Mill or learn about the Native Peoples of North America through a living history performance at the Lelooska Foundation and Cultural Center.
